Rustic Look between the mountains

Nestled amongst the spectacular mountain landscape of Aguas de Busot, Alicante, this commission involved transforming a long-abandoned garden excavation into a bespoke aquatic retreat. The property boasts commanding, unobstructed views of the sunset, demanding a pool area that capitalised on this natural amphitheatre while delivering a highly specific aesthetic.

Bespoke Hardlandscaping & Brickwork
The surrounding terrace presented the primary technical and architectural challenge. Rather than specifying standard large-format pool paving, the clients desired a distinctive, Oriental-inspired aesthetic. To achieve this, we executed a highly complex herringbone layout, laying individual terracotta-style bricks at a precise 45-degree angle. As demonstrated in the completed project image (cnd_after.png_2K_202609081451.jpeg), this meticulous design required thousands of individual precision cuts to seamlessly integrate with the pool’s coping and the surrounding rendered walls. Following the laborious laying process, the entire surface was comprehensively grouted and treated with a high-grade waterproofing system to ensure lasting structural integrity.
