The Vision: A Diamond in the Rough

A charming countryside retreat in Muchamiel boasted magnificent views, but let’s be perfectly frank—it was rather let down by an antiquated, empty swimming pool and a thoroughly neglected garden. Tasked with breathing life back into this tired outdoor space, EdenPool set out to deliver a bespoke swimming pool and modern terrace construction that would finally do justice to the glorious Costa Blanca sunshine and sweeping coastal vistas.

The Challenge: Delving Beneath the Surface

Initially, our brief seemed straightforward enough: simply retile the existing pool. However, upon stripping away the dreary, outdated mosaic tiles, we uncovered a classic renovation surprise. As vividly captured in the image above, the original pool walls were constructed from concrete blocks that were, quite honestly, riddled with holes.

As our client resides in the UK, we couldn’t exactly invite them round for a cup of tea to inspect a porous wall. Instead, we relied on a steady stream of detailed photos and videos to keep them in the loop. Together, we concluded that a mere patch-up simply wouldn’t do; the only true solution for a lasting high-end outdoor space was to build a brand-new pool directly within the existing structure.

The Process: Engineering Elegance

Our comprehensive luxury pool construction process involved extensive groundworks and terrace levelling, a transformation clearly documented in the before-and-after of image_962c23.jpg. We constructed a robust, brand-new Gunite system pool right inside the original shell, ensuring decades of structural integrity.

To seamlessly integrate the areas and create a contemporary feel, we raised the old terrace to perfectly align with the new pool’s water level. Behind the scenes, we completely overhauled the plant room, installing a new, high-performance Astral pool pump and filter to guarantee pristine, crystal-clear waters with brilliant energy efficiency.

The Breathtaking Results

The finished property is nothing short of a triumph in luxury home renovations in Alicante. The new pool was impeccably finished with premium-quality blue mosaic tiles, as beautifully highlighted in the image below. By surrounding the water with elegant, cream-toned tiles, we crafted a warm, inviting atmosphere—ideal for basking in the Spanish sun or hosting a smashing summer soirée.

Naturally, we didn’t stop there. LED pool lighting and sleek terrace lights were meticulously installed, ensuring the space looks just as spectacular during a midnight dip as it does at high noon.
